Hill County Health Board Discusses Phased Reopening

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Hill County Health Board met online on Friday afternoon to discuss their response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the state’s phased reopening plan.

The first step of the plan is the reopening of places of worship starting Sunday and retail businesses starting Monday.

The Health Department will be providing additional guidance in the coming days for businesses that will be reopening.

County Attorney Karen Alley provided additional information on health assessments that the directives say employers must abide by.

“I would say that however an employer chooses to do that, it needs to be even-handed. So if they decide they are going to take temperatures, they have to take everybody’s temperature, not just the temperature of one or two employees.”

The Board says are several hundred COVID-19 tests available in the County.

The one Hill County resident that previously tested positive for COVID-19 has since recovered.
