(Hill County) The Hill County Park Board met for their monthly meeting on Monday, February 3rd.
The board is actively looking for more solutions to fund their new lodge project, something that has been at the forefront of their discussions for months.
This meeting, the board heard a presentation from Bannack group, who would be able to act as a fundraising arm of the Park Board if they were brought on for their services. As of now, a decision has not been made.
The Park Board is also looking over revisions to policies and procedures of the grazing practices in Beaver Creek Park. Board member Lou Hegner says that the goal of the board and the grazing committee should be to establish trust from the public via the way they conduct grazing.
Park Superintendent Chad Edgar also announced that optic fiber cables are being installed into the cabins in Beaver Creek Park sometime in the future, and with that the current copper phone cables will be disconnected. Nothing is set in stone yet, stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
The next meeting is set for March 3rd in the Hill County Court House Timmons Room.
