(Hill County) The United Way of Hill County will no longer be operating independently after an announcement Saturday saying they’ll be merging with the United Way of Cascade County.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Hill County United Way’s Board President Megan Obrecht.
“This merger is going to enable us to leverage some resources, expand our outreach, and hopefully continue making a lasting impression in both of our counties.”
While this will mean that Hill County’s United Way is no longer independent, Obrecht says that donated funds will stay local and will not be used in Cascade County.
