Havre, MT – Earlier this year Havre Blue Pony boys’ basketball star Dax Oswalt committed to play for Midland University next season.
Head coach of the Midland Warriors Tyler Erwin spoke with New Media Broadcaster Sports about Oswalt’s Skillset and what stood out.
“Defensively, I felt, that he could guard multiple positions. He moves well laterally, he’s got good length I really like that skillset which nobody talked about,” Coach Eriwn said
While coach Erwin sees high defensive potential with Oswalt, he knows Dax will be a great scoring addition to the team “On top of it [his defense] he can score it; everybody knows he can score it. But defensively it seemed like he had a little instinct, a little toughness about him which kind of put him over the top.” Stated Erwin.
Oswalt tallied 35 steals and 10 blocks last season while leading Havre in scoring at just over 17 points per game (17.1) for 343 total points scored in his senior campaign.
