HPS Supports Urban Renewal Plan

(Havre) – Last Week the Havre Public Schools Board of Trustees voted to support the City Of Havre’s Urban Renewal Plan with a TiF District. In an interview with New Media Broadcasters, HPS Superintendent Brian Gum told us how the board sees this TIF district potentially impacted the school district in the future.

“We think it benefits our community to revitalize downtown. It’s going to bring in new businesses and opportunities which in turn, hopefully brings in families with students that want to participate in our great community here in Havre.”

The final public hearing on the proposed TIF District and the second reading and vote by the Havre City Council will be on Monday December 1st, 7pm in the council chambers at City Hall.
