Butte, MT – March has delivered with madness in the Frontier Conference Tournament. The MSU-Northern Lights entered the tournament as the No.7 seed taking on 2 Seeded Bellevue University. On the Women’s side the Skylights were in the fifth seed taking on the Batlin Bears of Rocky Mountain college. Both Slights and skylights defied the odds and found a way to advance to the Semifinals.
The Lights defeated Bellevue 83-74 in round one and followed it up with an 11-point come from behind win over Carroll College (80-76) in the Semis to play in the Frontier conference Championship. After taking down a ranked opponent in the Bears of Rocky Mountain 82-74 on Saturday; The skylights did not fare as well in round two on Sunday as they fell to the number one seed, and seventh ranked team in the country, the Dakota State Spartans (73-57).
The Lights Tip off at 7:30p.m. in the Frontier conference championship game against Rocky Mountain College at the Butte Civic Center Monday night and you can listen on KOJM.
