Butte MT, – Monday night Lights Men’s basketball Cinderella story came to end against Rocky Mountain College 79-77 in overtime.
The Lights entered halftime down by nine and clawed their way back to take the lead and eventually force overtime. Head coach of the Lights Shawn Huse said he was proud of how hard his team worked after a disappointing end to the regular season.
“You know they were just amazing in their fight, their resiliency, their determination. They were playing on a whole other level, and it was great to see. . . I’ll tell you what this team has a great deal of character and fight, and I don’t think anyone can deny that after seeing what they saw out of them, and all of us this weekend.” coach Huse said.
the Lights finish the season 18-13, a 10-win improvement from the 2024-25 season.
The NAIA will announce the field for the national tournament on Thursday March fifth.
