The MSU-Northern Lights’ basketball team keeps piling up the talent to come in and help improve the team. The latest signing to walk in the door later this year will be Raefe McEnroe, who is a 6-foot-5 guard from Honolulu, HI. He will enter his junior season with the Lights in 2024-25.
He last played ball at Everett Community College in Washington State, where he was part of the Trojans team that made it all the way to the Elite Eight of the Northwest Athletic Conference Tournament.
McEnroe enrolled at ECC for the 2021-22 season, where he put up 8.2 points a game. He missed all of 2022-23 with a shoulder injury before coming back strong this past season to average 13.9 points per contest while shooting over 50 percent from the floor and 40 percent from three-point land. He also grabbed eight rebounds a game and got nearly two blocks a contest.
“Once he got his full confidence and strength back, he played lights out,” Lights head coach Shawn Huse said in a social media post. “He is a great athlete who plays efficient, winning basketball.”
“This signing was big for us and we are very excited he chose to be in a Northern uniform moving forward,” Huse continued.
