Havre, MT – Monday April 6, Montana State University-Northern football began official full pad spring practices.
The Lights are looking to build a foundation in the offseason with new staff and players. Head coach Jerome Souers told New Media Broadcasters how they have started to build that foundation and what the rest of spring practices will entail.
“Well, our first two practices were non-contact of course we just had helmets and soft gear so a lot of introductory type of activity a lot of slow teaching in integrating some of the new players that we have you know the guys that are existing and having a couple of new coaches on the staff members. we needed that time to get our ourselves oriented. This week is the first full week and we’re half packed so we got shoulder pads and will be getting a lot more work done this week and in the subsequent weeks”
The Lights are looking to create a foundation to improve upon last year’s one win season.
