Havre, MT – The MSU-Northern Lights and Skylights head to Dillion and Butte this weekend for their second in state conference road trip.
The Skylights only other in state road trip was their first conference game at Providence back in November.
Head coach of the Skylights told New Media Broadcasters how his team can come away with a pair of tough wins.
“Rebounding. That’s going to be huge. I know last year that was the big goal for us in the conference tournament was to find a way to get them [Montana Tech] on the boards. I think we have to win on the boards. I think the same is true with Western. They are a little undersized, but they really crash. Then obviously handling our travel the right way, getting some rest and getting ready to go.” Coach Mouat stated.
The Lights are looking to stay above a .500 conference record and head coach, Sawn Huse explains how they can.
“Well obviously, you look at some statistical things, [we] got to find a way to rebound and slow down their main scores, get your stops. offensively get your looks. I think both teams have pretty good length and size. So making the adjustment for some of that based on those two teams.”
The lights are 10-5 overall and 5-4 in conference play while the Skylights are 11-3 on the season and 7-2 in conference play.
Tipoff for games in Dillion on Friday against Montana Western and Saturday versus Montana Tech are set for 5 and 7p.m.
