HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A Hill County man is facing six felony charges regarding allegations of assaulting and stalking a woman that he was legally ordered not to come in contact with.
Cameron James Eagleman, 38, is facing the charges of aggravated burglary, assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, partner or family member assault (3rd or subsequent offense), strangulation of a partner or family member, and stalking.
Court documents state that Eagleman was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct at the Budget Inn in Havre on June 21st after allegedly attempting to fight the owner.
Two days later, documents state that the woman with the no-contact order, who Eagleman had been in an intimate relationship with in the past, called 911 stating that Eagleman had gotten into her hotel room and tried to kill her.
When Officer’s arrived, the victim had injuries to her face and was bleeding. Eagleman was then detained while the incident was being investigated.
The victim told authorities Eagleman had hit and choked her multiple times. The injuries of the victim backed up this claim.
Eagleman’s arraignment is set for July 13th at 9:30 AM. He is currently in the Hill County Detention Center on $100,000 bond.
