(Havre) The Milk River Gobblers are officially listed as a preservation and conservation group, in addition to being non for profit. New Media Broadcasters spoke with Jeff Dibblee of the Milk River Gobblers to ask about what types of conservation efforts they participate in.
“At times we have helped different state organizations and federal organizations like the BLM or Bureau of Land Management put up fences. We’ve helped Fish, Wildlife and Parks with some projects they may have had. We are currently working on a mentorship program where we’ll take new hunters out and show them how to hunt turkey or other upland game birds, perhaps waterfowl which is my favorite. That’s still in the works, we’re still working with insurance to see how we can do that.”
