HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The State Health Department reported 632 new COVID-19 cases in Montana in their Tuesday update, the most in a single day since early January.
The active case count is at 3,014 and active COVID-related hospitalizations is at 206, representing increased numbers not seen in several months.
41 of Montana’s 56 counties reported at least one new COVID-19 case on Tuesday, but it was once again the most populous counties leading the way.
Yellowstone and Flathead both had at least 100 new cases of the virus, while Cascade, Missoula and Gallatin all reported more than 60 new cases.
The state’s vaccination rate continues to inch forward, with 49 percent of eligible Montanans fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
