(NMB) The Havre City Council met for their March meeting on Wednesday night. Brett Patrick and Dave Peterson, representing the Natalie Patrick foundation, told the council that the Havre Splash Park is complete and officially turned over operations to the City of Havre. The splash park project began in 2022 and was financially backed by the Natalie Patrick Foundation, community partners and grants that were secured. None of the funding came from The City or City taxpayers. The total cost of the project was $320,000 dollars. The new Havre splash park located adjacent to the city pool is ready to go for the summer season.
In another piece of business, the City Council approved Mayor Bitz’s appointment of Joel Miller to be the new Park and Recreation Director. Miller was previously, supervisor of parks. Miller replaces long time Park and Recreation Director Chris Inman who recently retired.
