MALTA, Mont. (NMB) – Phillips County has approved holding a mail-in ballot 2020 General Election, with the additional option of voting in-person at the County Courthouse.
Lynnel LaBrie, the Phillips County Election Administrator sent a letter on August 12th to the County Commissioners recommending a mail-in election.
The letter stated that a mail-in election, “is the most feasible way of conducting the November 3rd, 2020 General Election due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I have come to this conclusion after reviewing the current recommendations by the CDC and the local public health department.”
The Commissioners then approved the recommendation earlier this week.
Registered voters in Phillips County will have ballots mailed to them on October 9th. They may also vote in-person at the County Courthouse starting on October 2nd.
