(Phillips County) An update on the police situation near Zortman which left several under a shelter in place order until early Thursday morning.
The shelter in place order was lifted at around 11am Thursday, with one subject taken into custody after sustaining minor injuries and exposure to CS gas.
The subject does have a history of mental health episodes, and has been known in the past to dangerously handle firearms in this manner according to police. Comment from the Sheriff’s Office said that there was not a threat to the public.
At this time there has been no name released.
