(Rocky Boy) The Rocky Boy’s Heath Center is hosting their “Honoring our Mothers” walk or run event on May 9th.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Chanal Standing Rock, Youth Development Professional at the Rocky Boy’s Heath Center, to ask more about the event.
“I became a mother in July of 2022 and as cliche as it may sound it truly has been my greatest honor. I thought what better way to get to honor I guess myself and other mothers too than to encourage them to step into some self care practice so they can continue being wonder women. May is also mental health awareness month, so I thought I don’t think anyone else within our community was having a mothers day event so I kind of just took it upon myself to do something like this”
