Havre, MT – Conference basketball is here for the Lights. In Northerns conference opener at Providence last Thursday Lights Senior Leo Sayers IV took over.
Sayers IV finished the game with 27 points on 10 of 11 shooting, including four made threes and shooting 100% from the free throw line. Sayers also contributed six rebounds and eight assists in the Lights 16-point road victory (98-82).
Sayers IV performance at Providence on top of an 11-point outing on 50% shooting with two assists and five rebounds at Walla Walla university last Monday, earned him Frontier Conference offensive player of the week.
The Lights are 4-1 on the year so far and 1-0 to start conference play. The lights hit the road for their longest road trip of the season heading to Bellevue Nebraska to take on the Bruins before heading to Madison South Dakota to battle Dakota State.
