Skylights Basketball Recruits Familiar Frontier Conference Name

There will be another Moran basketball player coming to the Frontier Conference this fall. Lynnea Moran is signing with MSU-Northern, the school announced earlier this week. The 5-foot-5 Moran, whose sister Iliana is a member of the Rocky Mountain College women’s basketball team, will be following into a top-tier competitive environment as she rolls in from Richland, WA.

Moran leaves the high school game with a decorated career behind her. The 2023-24 season was particularly strong for her as she averaged over 20 points per game. She scored more than 1,000 points in her high school career and proved to be a walking bucket, including breaking a 30-year-old record by scoring 36 points in one game.

From being named to her high school’s all-conference list to ascending even higher into the Washington state high school ranks, Moran collected many accolades during her grade school time.

“She is an excellent scorer and shooter, and also takes a lot of pride in being a defensive stopper,” Skylights coach Chris Mouat said in a press release. “Lynnea was very highly decorated while playing in a great league.”

“She has been well-coached along the way and comes from a family of basketball players,” Mouat continued. “She is going to make a big impact for us.”

Moran will pursue a business degree at MSU-Northern once she arrives on campus.
