Another North Idaho product is coming to Havre. Maddie Williamson, a Malta native who played community college ball this past season, announced her official transfer to the MSU-Northern Skylights basketball team.
Preceding her 2023 graduation from Malta High School, she made an impact for the M-Ettes, garnishing three All-State player selections and also represented the MHSA 2B on the conference team list three times.
“We had the chance to watch Maddie in high school and I think she had a really good year at North Idaho, MSU-Northern women’s basketball coach Chris Mouat said in a press release. “She was highly-decorated at Malta and has made strides.”
“She is aggressive at both ends of the floor,” Mouat contunued. “We are really excited to have her on board and playing close to home.”
This past season with the Cardinals, she went for 11.1 points per game to go along with 5.6 rebounds a contest. Once she officially is enrolled at Northern, she will pursue an Integrated Health Science major with three years of eligibility remaining.
