Havre, MT – Thursday night the Skylights defeated Carroll College in Helena in five sets to advance and take on Bellevue University. In the second Round the Skylights fell in hard fought five set match.
The skylights finish with 18 wins through the regular season and conference tournament play. Head Coach of the Skylights Jerry Wagner said he was proud of his team’s effort and play.
“The team was prepared. The team was at the top of their game, and the way we played is exactly what we were hoping for. We gave ourselves and opportunity. We were playing at Carroll; with these kids it doesn’t matter where they go. They play to their strengths and that was enough to give us an opportunity, and they jumped all over it.”
Despite their efforts throughout the season and in the frontier conference tournament the Skylights did not do enough to be selected as one of the nation’s top 48 teams and put them in the national tournament.
