GREAT FALLS, Mont. (NMB) – One person was killed and two were injured in a two vehicle crash early Saturday morning east of Great Falls.
The Montana Highway Patrol says the crash occurred at 12:38 AM at mile marker 83 of US Highway 89, when an eastbound 1987 Nissan pickup drifted across the center line and struck a Dodge pickup in a head-on collision.
The driver of the Nissan, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. The two occupants of the Dodge, a 55-year-old woman and 67-year-old man from Deer County, Alberta, were transported to Benefis Hospital for treatment.
Alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash. The road was bare and dry, and the Dodge was pulling a trailer at the time of the crash.
