Chinook, MT – Thursday night The Chinook Sugarbeeters hosted the Rocky Boy Stars for Northern C matchup that ended in a mercy rule
Rokcy Boy got to start with possession but the Beeter’s were full throttle all night forcing a 3 and out on the first series. On the punt Carter Alisch returned it 30 yards to the house. Alisch would finish with three total touchdowns including a strip fumble returned on the second kickoff of the third quarter.
Hayden Barreth also saw the endzone three times with two pick sixes and 13-yard reception. On the ground David McKinzie, a sophomore led the ‘Beeters in touchdowns with four all coming on the ground including the game ending score to put Chinook up 74-0. Postgame Sugarbeeter head Coach Mike Jones Commented on how his team performed.
“We got to clean a couple things up. We got a big one next week. Just trying to make sure we have guys in the right positions. We got to have guys play both ways, so a lot of what we saw was them in different positions just not being comfortable in those but that’s good experience they’re going to need hopefully later on.”
The versatile Chinook offense was led by quarterback Ryan Bell who finished with two passing touchdowns. Next up Chinook hosts the Fort Benton Longhorns on Friday October 2, in a battle for second place in the Northern C standings.
