The 2023 football ‘Eastern A’ All Conference & All State Selections were announced on Wednesday. The Havre Blue Ponies had several recipients and here are some notable standouts:
Two players, senior tight end and outside linebacker Jacob Herring and junior wide receiver and cornerback Tre Gary, swept every single first team category as well as being named All State. This is Herring’s second consecutive season being named to the All State team.
Junior Colter Solomon was also selected twice for his efforts as a second team wide receiver and a first-team strong safety, the latter earning him All State honors. He shared the first team distinction on the defensive side with junior defensive end Chris Bell and senior inside linebacker Brisbin Reiter with Reiter also being crowned an All-State player. Senior defensive tackle Mason Wilting played his way to an all-second team honor. Senior free safety Carson Harris was named an Honorable Mention for 2023.
Other first-team selections on offense for the Blue Ponies included junior running back Tate Nelson, junior left tackle Gage Chapman, and sophomore right guard Tommy Lewis. Sophomore right tackle Brandon Healy was an All-Conference second-team selection, while sophomore quarterback Griffin Terry gained an Honorable Mention.
Congratulations to the 2023 Havre Blue Ponies football team on these distinctions.
