Havre, MT – Havre high volleyball began their season 3-3 last weekend in Livingston. Now Havre will open at home with a conference match against Miles City Thursday night.
That’s only the start of Havre’s weekend as they will host the Havre invite tournament on Friday and Saturday. Head coach Cassie Kruger knows that it will be a tough and long weekend of play.
“We’re trying not to go too terribly heavy in practice considering the fact that we just had two very long days in Livingston.” Kruger stated.
Then we have Miles City, and then two days of our Havre tournament. So we’re getting lots of reps of reps in while also being conscious on how heavy the workload is on the girls.”
The Blue Ponies opener is set for 6p.m. and Coach Kruger says it will be big match for her team.
“Thursday is going to be all around tough because Miles City is going to be one of our toughest opponents Overall in the state this year, so we need to focus on our side of the net.”
The Havre Invite tournament is Friday and Saturday where every team will play four games on Friday and two matches Saturday with every match as a best two out of three.
