The Montana Elite Invitational, which is hosted by the Josh Huestis Foundation, came out with its list of participants for the 2025 event last week. Players qualified through a process made up by former CMR Rustler and NBA player Josh Huestis, who consulted with coaches from around the Treasure State for input before the final selections were made. Those chosen were determined based off of skill set with the main factor being that they would not graduate high school during the 2024-25 school year.
From the New Media Broadcasters listening area, Amaya Jarvis of Havre will be competing in the MEI for the third consecutive year. She will be joined by a couple of Malta M-Ettes in Neva Jacobson and Denvyr Tuss. Chester-Joplin-Inverness is represented as Brynn Kammerzell makes her second straight appearance. BriElla Becker of Denton-Geyser-Stanford-Geraldine is also on this list.
On the boys’ side, another CJI Hi-Line Hawk gets his first look as Ryland St. John was chosen. Malta is again represented with Bohdi Brenden and Dawson Hammond. More class ‘B’ players include Fairfield’s Deron Lear and Glasgow’s Cade Hudyma.
The 2025 Montana Elite Invitational is scheduled to be played on Memorial Day weekend from May 25-26 in Butte on the campus of Montana Tech.
