Havre, MT – Havre High football opened their season with back to back home games at Blue Pony Stadium. The Blue ponies are 0-2 with losses to whitefish (52-20) and Billings Central (41-18).
However, It hasn’t all been bad for Havre football. Cael Leeds has shinned on defense to start the year with an interception in each game, including on he took to the house for six against the BC Rams.
Havre head coach Jake Eldridge spoke to his seniors early performance and leadership. “I think he has been doing a great job at doing what he is supposed to do. He’s a senior leader for us and he brings a good presence to our defense.”
“It’s awesome to see him get those opportunities and get those interceptions and we talked about getting a score on defense and we got that, so that’s a good thing.” Eldridge shared.
Leeds will look to rally the Blue Pony defense on the road at Miles City this Friday with kickoff at 7p.m.
