ROCKY BOY, Mont. (NMB) – The Rocky Boy Police Department is asking the public for help after the death of a juvenile female in a hit-and-run on Laredo Road near the intersection to Upper Box Elder Road in Box Elder.
Last Thursday night, the Rocky Boy Police responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Laredo Road. Officers arrived to find an unresponsive female lying on the shoulder of the roadway. Medical attention was attempted, but the girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect vehicle fled the area before officers arrived. Through the investigation, it’s believed the striking vehicle is a 2015 or 2016 Dodge Journey, which should have damage to its front passenger side.
The Chippewa Cree Tribe is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
