
HAVRE (NMB) On Sunday September 11th a 9-11 memorial service at Town Square in Havre.
Members of the American Legion Riders Post 11 hosted the event and were there with their motorcycles, along with the presence of law enforcement members from the Montana Department of Justice Highway Patrol, Hill County Sheriff, Havre Police, and Havre Fire Department.
The ceremony began with presentation of the honor guard posting the colors during a playing of the National Anthem. After an opening prayer,came a recitation of the chronological events from September 11th and then a closing prayer. The crowd was then invited to ride their motorcycles and cars roundtrip to Beaver Creek Park and back to Havre.
At noon the public was treated to a free meal of hotdogs and hamburgers served at the Elk’s lodge.
