Havre, MT – Montana State University-Northern football has gotten their feet wet and are diving in head first to their long and difficult schedule.
The Lights opened with the NAIA coach’s pole number 13 in week one at Carroll college and set to engage with the coach’s pole number 18 in the Montana Western Bulldogs this Saturday.
Lights defensive Coordinator Dylan Wampler says his guys are ready for the challenge by doing their job.
“We’re going to go back to what we do. The theme of the week is, do your job, and so our guys have bought into it and it all starts with the guys on the field. There is no special call there is no special coaching that makes a defense great, its the guys that are on the field and we’ve got the guys to do that.”
The Lights are coming off of a 30-14 loss at Carroll College last Thursday. Montana Western has yet to play a game and will enter Tillman stadium looking to repeat last years 52-0 dominant win over the Lights.
