Havre Trails to hold “Summerfest” on Aug. 24

(Havre) The Havre Trails organization is holding their annual Summerfest on August 24th.

New Media Broadcasters spoke with Lindsey Brandt-Bennett from Havre Trails to talk about what the proceeds from this event are used for.

“We use that money to create recreational trail projects and update trails around the area. The most recent project that we’ve worked on has been the Bullhook Butte trail over on Saddle Butte on the Lieberg land. That’s an almost 2 mile loop and it came together really quickly in the end and has gotten a lot of really positive support from the community and so forth. So, those are the kind of projects that we do with the money that we get.”

This will be the 6th annual of this event, those that have been in the community for some time may remember that this event used to be called “Brewfest”, some Brandt-Bennett says they changed to be more inclusive of non-alcohol drinkers including kids, who are also welcome according to her.

Those interested in buying tickets should contact Havre Trails directly.
