(Havre) During the cold weather months of the year, some families may need extra help with their energy bills as unexpected expenses can cause temporary shortcomings with finances.
The Montana Energy Share organization works with Human Resource Development Councils across the state, including in the Hi-Line, to ensure families stay warm during the winter.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Montana Energy Share board member Greg Jergeson.
“Utility companies can shut off peoples service, even in the wintertime. They have to meet certain requirements not to be shut off. It behooves people to have a source where they can go with those short-term emergencies.”
