GLASGOW, Mont. (NMB) – Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Region 6 will host two open houses to seek public comment on the proposed changes to the fishing regulations that will go into effect next year and be in place until 2024.
A press release says they will meet in Glasgow on Tuesday, August 20th at the Busted Knuckle Brewery and in Havre on Thursday, August 22nd at the Best Western Plus. Both open house meetings will run from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
Proposed changes include ice shelter removal timelines, clarifying the trout limits in the Missouri River below Fort Peck Dam, and reorganizing paddlefish rules.
FWP undergoes major fishing regulation revisions every four years. The two scheduled open houses will focus on the tentative regulations with a formal comment period that will end September 13th.
