Dozens Brace Sub Zero Temperatures for Veteran’s Day Ceremony

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) At 11 AM on Monday morning, dozens of people braved the sub-zero temperatures to attend the annual Veterans Day ceremony held in Havre’s Town Square. Havre’s local VFW and Elks Lodge partnered again for this ceremony that’s followed by a lunch at the Elks Club.

VFW Member Scott Prindiville says they cut the ceremony at the Town Square a little short due to the freezing temperatures and continued the rest of the event inside the Elks Lodge. The Veterans Honor Guard gave a 21 gun salute and played Taps, then posted the colors inside the Elks Lodge. Members of the Elks and VFW spoke in the Lodge briefly, before serving lunch.
