HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Nursing instructor, Mary Pizzini, received a Pure Gold Award by Montana State University President Waded Cruzado for providing quality education to the nursing students at MSU-Northern.
A press release says that students say she brings a lot of excitement and fascination to the classroom. She has a passion to share her knowledge of nursing with her students. She and her husband have hosted an out-of-state athlete every year for over 20 years. She provides these students with home-cooked meals, laundry services and overall mentorship.
Pizzini has worked as a registered nurse for 37 years and invites students on her weekly hikes to provide an outlet for stress relief during tough academic weeks. She regularly checks in with her students’ mental and physical health and is always available for students to reach out to if they need help with anything, school-related or not.
