HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Friday, Havre Public Schools Education Foundation will be hosting their 15th annual Holiday Hoops Alumni Basketball game at the Havre High School gym.
Executive Director Cheryl Morse says all former Havre School students, regardless of age, are welcome to play in the games.
“Many of them just graduated in the last year or two. But there are players that have been out for 10-12 years, maybe even more. It’s basically all ages and it’s girls and guys. And you don’t have to have played in high school.”
Morse says the Foundation will also be hosting Fossil Festival All-Class Reunion this fall and will have a Fossil team at the games this year.
“Some of the people that come to play will be handed a fossil t-shirt, and they will be on the fossil team. It’s just for fun. It doesn’t matter what the age is, it isn’t going to be a fossil team just made up of older players. It’s just going to be anybody that gets a fossil t-shirt will be on that team.”
Alumni who wish to play in the games can contact Patch Wirtzberger at 399-0619 or Grayson Winsor at 680-2323. The cost to attend or play in the games is a non-perishable food or toiletry item that will be donated to the Havre Public School food pantry.
