HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Havre’s annual free community Christmas dinner will be back this Wednesday providing meals for hundreds of hungry Montanans.
The dinner, which is put on by donors and volunteers and features turkey with all the trimmings, is scheduled for 11 AM-2 PM at the Eagle’s Club,
Dinner organizer Tom Farnham says this dinner has been a Havre staple for around 40 years.
“It’s one of those things that just keeps going. It’s free to everybody. There is a donation can, if you would like to donate. That’s up to you. The donations go towards next year’s dinner so the dinner can keep going on.”
Last year, about 760 people indulged in the free meal, and Farnham says he expects around that same number again this year.
