HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Milk River Gobblers will be holding their 2nd Annual Banquet on Saturday, February 1st at the Havre Eagles Club.
There will be a silent and live auction, as well as a variety of games and prizes. Member Jeff Dibblee says around 13 guns will be auctioned off, with one of them honoring a member that passed away in the last year.
“Scott Young passed away last year. He was a very avid member of our club, a hard worker. We will be donating a gun in his honor. The winner of that gun will receive their name on a plaque, as well as the gun.”
Dibblee says proceeds from this banquet go back into the community, including several scholarships for high school seniors.
“Criteria for that is someone who is interested in an outdoor job. Like a game warden, biologist, teacher, something in that order. It is a $500 scholarship.”
