HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Thursday, two north central Montana Republicans filed to run for seats in the state legislature.
For House District 28, Ed Hill of Havre officially filed. The only other candidate currently in this race is Democrat Krystal Steinmetz. This seat is currently held by Democrat Jacob Bachmeier, who is not running for re-election.
For House District 29, incumbent Dan Bartel of Lewistown has filed for re-election. As of Friday, he is the only candidate to file for this seat.
The deadline to file for the 2020 Election in Montana is March 9.
