
HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers announced Wednesday, March 4 they will begin to shutdown all USACE-managed campgrounds surrounding Fort Peck Lake due to the Coronavirus.
Along with this, all tours, shelters, fishing piers, playgrounds and swim beaches at USACE-managed sites are also closed indefinitely.
Right now, the Fort Peck Project will keep day-use facilities and boat launches, picnic areas, trails and viewing areas open for continued lake access.
For those who have already reserved a camping spot at the Downstream Campground you can receive a full refund, but no new reservations will be accepted at this juncture.
USACE urges the public to continue to take preventative physical distancing measures while recreating.
