HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – As of Tuesday, April 14 The U.S. Small Business Administration will provide federal emergency relief resources for Montana bars and taverns once they receive more loan funding.
Congressman Greg Gianforte and U.S. Senator Steve Daines both requested the funding but with the lack of appropriation funding, the SBA had to close their loan portals Thursday, April 16.
These portals provided access to applications for Economic Injury Disaster Loans and Paycheck Protection Program applications for COVID-19 relief.
Since the relief for bars and taverns is provided through the Paycheck Protection Program, only applications submitted before the closure will still be processed at this time.
Once the portals open, restaurants and taverns will be eligible to receive aid if they make less than 50% of their earnings through gaming and do not exceed $1 million in net revenue from gaming.
