HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Earlier this week, Governor Steve Bullock announced Montana will provide emergency rental assistance for those hurt most by COVID-19.
In a press call Bullock said the directive will provide aid for families in need of financial assistance amidst COVID-19.
“I issued a directive to provide emergency rental assistance to help families with limited financial resources make ends meet during the unprecedented economic situation that is COVID-19. The program will allow relief funds specifically for households with children eligible for the temporary assistance for Needy Families Program. The state’s also providing additional funding for families who are not count as eligible.”
The directive also will temporarily suspend evictions, service disconnections and foreclosures for those in need.
The Department of Commerce will release details regarding eligibility and where to apply no later than Friday, April 17.
