Pondera County Confirms Second COVID-19 Case

CONRAD, Mont. (NMB) – A second Pondera County resident has tested positive for COVID-19.

The announcement was made on the Pondera County Health Department’s Facebook page on Saturday evening.

The Department says the individual is a female in their 50s. They added that the new case is not believed to have been caused by community spread.

The Department says they are, “actively following up to learn more details about the individual’s exposure risk and travel history, and to identify and communicate with anyone who may have been in close contact with the patient.”

Pondera County’s first COVID-19 case was confirmed on April 14. That patient is a female in their 40s.

Other Counties in north-central and north-eastern Montana with confirmed COVID-19 cases includes Toole (29 cases), Cascade (13), Roosevelt (6), Glacier (4), Richland (3), Liberty (1) and Hill (1).

Four Toole County residents and one Cascade County resident have died due to COVID-19.
