MSU-Extension to Host Cropping Seminars in January

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Montana State University-Extension will be hosting a free, annual cropping seminar series from January 8th through the 11th in Fort Benton, Stanford, Havre, Chester, Shelby, Cut Bank, Conrad, Choteau, and Great Falls. A press release says that topics will include paraquat safety, cropping systems, pest management, integrated weed management, herbicide resistance, marketing, and risk management. Both commercial and private pesticide licensing recertification credits will be available.

The seminars are free to participants and all producers are encouraged to attend. All of the seminars except the one in Great Falls, will have a morning and afternoon session with a lunch in between.

On Monday, January 7th, meetings will be held in Fort Benton and Stanford. On Tuesday, they will be in Havre and Chester. On Wednesday, they will be in Shelby and Cut Bank. Thursday’s meetings will be in Choteau and Conrad, and the meeting Friday will be in Great Falls.
