HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – With the weather beginning to warm up, the Hill County Health Department is asking people to be on the lookout for harmful algal blooms when you are outdoors.
If blue-green algae is present in water, do not swim in it or drink it. Keep all pets, livestock and horses away from it. Clean fish well and discard guts and avoid areas with blue-green algae when boating.
Call your doctor or veterinarian immediately if you or your animals have sudden or unexplained sickness or signs of poisoning.
