HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Hill County reported 31 new COVID-19 cases and three new COVID-19 related deaths on Tuesday.
In addition, 25 cases met the criteria to be considered recovered and one new hospitalization was reported.
Of the 31 new cases, 15 were found through contact tracing and 16 currently have unknown exposures.
The new cases range in age from a female under the age of 10 to a male in their 90’s. The age range with the most new cases was people in their 20’s, with nine (2 males, 7 females).
Since October 14th, Hill County has reported 195 COVID-19 cases and nine COVID-19 related deaths.
Overall, Hill County has now reported 620 total COVID-19 cases. 271 are active, including nine hospitalizations. 332 have recovered and 17 have died.
The Hill County Board of Health will be meeting at 3 PM on October 21st for their quarterly meeting. One of the agenda items is the potential approval of Health Officer Kim Larson’s Recommendations to institute new restrictions next month if case rates do not dramatically decrease.
The Rocky Boy Health Center Reported 16 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday and one new case on Monday that came after their daily report. They also added 18 recoveries.
12 of the new cases were found through contact tracing while five have unknown exposures.
Rocky Boy has reported 292 total COVID-19 cases. 143 are active, 134 of which reside on the Reservation. Three are currently hospitalized.
Rocky Boy’s numbers are included in the case count for the county the person resides (either Hill or Chouteau). This means that
Chouteau County reported two new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, putting their active case count at 15. They did not release any other information, and it is not clear if any of the cases are from tests conducted at the Rocky Boy Health Center.
