Havre Chamber’s Annual Meeting Postponed to 2022

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Havre-Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that they will not be holding their annual meeting in 2021 due to COVID-19 concerns.

The meeting, which has gone on annually for over a century, typically takes place in January and features a meal and a guest speaker.

Julea Robbins, Executive Director for the Chamber, explains what went into the decision.

“We had a really fun speaker coming in for our 2021 meeting that we were very excited about. We were hoping to bring in at least 200 people. That being said, I don’t think that we’ll be able to have 200 people in a room. We’ve exhausted every effort that we can to figure out how to hold this event safely and still get as many Chamber members in there as are going to want to be there. And we have decided to postpone it until 2022. Our speaker is so wonderful and so fun, it’s just going to be a lot better if we can hold it in person.”

Robbins says that featured speaker is Havre-native Flint Rasmussen, a legendary rodeo clown.
