Chouteau County Reports Third COVID-Related Death

CHOUTEAU COUNTY, Mont. (NMB) – The Chouteau County Health Department reported a COVID-related death of a local resident on Monday, the third in Chouteau County since th epandemic began.

Their Health Department says the ages of the three people that have suffered COVID-related deaths ranges from 29 to 81.

There are currently 43 active COVID-19 cases in Chouteau County, including two hospitalizations. 96 people are in quarantine after being identified as a close contact to a positive case.

The Chouteau County Health Department adds that once people are released from isolation or quarantine, they are considered non-contagious and should not be treated differently from the general population.

Hill County

Also on Monday, the Hill County Health Department received notice of 12 new COVID-19 cases, had six people meet the recovery criteria, and had two hospitalizations discharged.

Six of the new cases were found through contact tracing, while six have unknown exposure.

Hill County has now reported 1,239 total COVID-19 cases. 217 are active, including three hospitalizations. 991 have recovered and 31 have died.
