Hill County Commission Puts Courthouse Security Camera Project Up for Bidding

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Hill County Commission held their weekly business meeting on Thursday morning and unanimously approved several agenda items.

Items approved by the Commission:

  • A resolution from the Hill County Council on Aging to use $11,000 in CARES Act funding for the purchase of a more dependable vehicle
  • A meal contract with the Council on Aging
  • The appointment of James Branden to the Hill County Weed Board for a term that runs through 2022
  • The approval of an invitation to bid for a Courthouse Security project. This project would include the installation of cameras, as well as door locks on the main entrances. The County recently received a Homeland Security Grant to help pay for this project

Before the meeting adjourned, the Commission announced that they have received a notice from the Office of Governor Steve Bullock of a $260,500 grant for wastewater system upgrades to the lift station and sewer lines in the Rural Special Improvement District #21 area.

The next Commission business meeting is scheduled for 10 AM on December 31st.
