HARLEM, Mont. (NMB) – Montana’s U.S. Senators have congratulated a Harlem resident on her acceptance into the U.S. Air Force Academy.
Steve Daines and Jon Tester issued statements recognizing Harlem’s Alaynee Hawley on her acceptance into the U.S. Air Force Academy.
Hawley is a three-time class president, a NASA Apollo 50 Challenge and NASA ROADS to Mars Challenge participant, has played five sports at the varsity level, co-founded a local robotics club, and was the recipient of the 2020 Foundation for Rural Service Award by Triangle Communications.
Hawley was initially nominated for the Academy back in December by Tester based on her academic accomplishments, extracurricular activities, and commitment to serving and leading in the U.S. Military.
